FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW, UK, 26 JULY 2024 – The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has awarded three contracts to Airbus Helicopters, Lockheed Martin Sikorsky and Leonardo respectively to perform detailed platform concept studies in the frame of the Next Generation Rotorcraft Capability (NGRC) programme.

For this study contract, Airbus is partnering with RTX’s Collins Aerospace and Raytheon businesses and MBDA for the 13 months to analyse two integrated concepts of next generation military rotorcraft.

France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland and Italy are involved in the project via the different partner companies. Each partner will contribute to the study in its area of expertise: helicopter design, systems integration, connectivity, weapons and effectors, avionics and sensors. The study will focus on high performance rotorcraft. The concepts will be modular and multi-mission, and fully interoperable with NATO standards, with a high degree of connectivity and resilient communication system.

This group of Tier-1 aerospace suppliers includes BAE Systems, ELT Group, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik GmbH, GE Aerospace, Hellenic Aerospace Industry, Kongsberg, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, MAGroup, Malloy Aeronautics, SAFRAN, Rheinmetall and TERMA. The industry group will provide input as to how their world class military products can support our integrated platform concept approach to advance NATO’s capabilities and provide a next generation rotorcraft solution" he added.

SSC requests industry feedback on a Resilient MW/MT MEO layer Epoch 2 architecture that will support future Missile Warning, Tracking and Defense (MWTD) capabilities. The Government is seeking industry feedback to inform the MEO Epoch 2 acquisition strategy and technical approach. The MEO MW/MT architecture will be incrementally developed in capability-based deliveries called Epochs. Each Epoch is expected to include at least one competitive award and allows for insertion of new technology, innovative solutions, and progressive or updated warfighter requirements to ultimately meet future capability needs. This RFI requests industry feedback and approaches to support delivering a MEO MW/MT Epoch 2 capability in the future:

SSC has entered into contracts with the Aerospace Corporation, the MITRE Corporation, LinQuest, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Tecolote Research, American Systems Corporation, InSPIRE, Sierra Nevada Corporation, Axient Corporation, Space EA Systems, Stellar Solutions, ExoAnalytics, Booz Allen Hamilton, The Tech7 Company, Gemini Technologies LLC, Huntington Ingalls Industries, Odyssey Systems, New Bridge Partners, Sandia National Labs, Space Dynamic Lab, and Software Engineering Services. These companies support the Government’s Space Force Program Office by performing technical reviews, systems engineering and integration analyses, cost estimation, and other advisory services.

Israel ha publicado una serie de vídeos que muestran la operación de castigo a los hutíes en Yemen por su ataque a Tel Aviv a principios de semana. La operación, denominada "Operación Brazo Extendido", se centró en destruir el almacenamiento de combustible y otras infraestructuras en el puerto de la ciudad costera occidental de Hudaydah (Hodeida) en el Mar Rojo.
Israel dice que se seleccionó ese objetivo porque facilita directamente las transferencias de armas de Irán a los hutíes.
