This contract procures training system and simulation design, development, integration, test, production, deployment, modifications/upgrades, and sustainment in support of the F-35 Lightening II aircraft for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, non-U.S Department of Defense Participants, and Foreign Military Sales countries. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida (60%); Fort Worth, Texas (30%); and other various locations within and outside the continental U.S. (10%), and is expected to be completed by September 2028. No funds will be obligated at the time of award; funds will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued. This contract was procured on a sole source basis pursuant to 10 U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1). Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N0001924D0110).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a $1,006,436,959 modification (P00036) to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N0001922C0041). This modification extends services to provide continued engineering, maintenance, logistics, manpower, and material support for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) laboratory facilities and F-35 developmental flight test activities. Additionally, this modification adds scope for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) test requirements, parts support for supplemental fleet aircraft, electromagnetic environment evaluation testing, ground support equipment recapitalization, ground support for additional aircraft, shared simulation services, increased pacing of resolving software product anomaly reports, cyber infrastructure engineering, and an increased number of pilot maintenance training lab devices in support of the F-35 JSF program for the Air Force, Navy, FMS, and the F-35 cooperative program partners. Work will be performed Fort Worth, Texas (30%); Palmdale, California (26%); Patuxent River, Maryland (23%); Orlando, Florida (11%); San Diego, California (3%); Linthicum, Maryland (2%); Manchester, New Hampshire (2%); Los Angeles, California (1%); Samlesbury, United Kingdom (1%); and various locations within the continental U.S. (1%), and is expected to be completed in March 2027. Extra F35’s en extra helikopters: komende jaren 2,4 miljard euro naar Defensie

De krijgsmacht gaat extra F-35 straaljagers, anti-onderzeebootfregatten (ASW) en maritieme gevechtshelikopters (NH-90’s) aanschaffen. Dat melden bronnen aan de politieke redactie van RTL Nieuws. Ook wordt er heel veel munitie aangeschaft en wordt de marechaussee versterkt.

No sería la primera vez que un F-35 despega desde una autopista. Me sonaba que eso ya había sucedido, esto es de hace casi 1 año en Noruega.

Aviones noruegos, la noticia dice aviones americanos.
Les servirá para practicar los conceptos de despliegue en areas remotas.
No hace mucho un A10 hizo lo mismo despues de décadas sin practicarlo.

Cuando la gente quiere defender al F35 siempre se basan en el funcionamiento del F35 Adir y olvidan lo mas importante, que los israelitas lo han convertido en un sistema de arquitectura abierta y de esa forma han anulado los grandes problemas del F35 que vende LM.
De hecho varios paises han pedido comprar esa version y EEUU no lo ha permitido.

Nadie ha puesto en duda nunca que el avion vuela bien, peor de lo prometido pero bien, y que su radar responde. Pero todos los problemas vienen siempre por la arquitectura del sistema y por ahi vienen todos sus fallos que son muchos, todavia despues de 20 años y que solo se resuelven desactivando funciones. Y no estoy hablando de TR3 que eso no es mas que continuar igual que antes con otra electronica, pues no han terminado de hacer su arquitectura totalmente abierta y que esperan tener toda la nueva programacion en aproximadamente 5 años en funcionamiento, ya veremos si lo cumplen o no salen otros problemas.

La Fuerza Aérea solo adquiriría 25 F-35 en el año fiscal 2026 según un plan incluido en un reciente informe del Pentágono sobre el caza. El plan prevé que el servicio tenga en servicio unos 700 de estos aviones para fines de la década y que nunca compre más de 48 en un año determinado.

El funcionario también señaló que el plan data de finales de 2023 y que desde entonces ha habido ajustes al programa que no fueron reflejados en el informe.

Las pérdidas anuales esperadas por desgaste son aproximadamente el doble de las predichas por el Cuerpo de Marines y la Marina para sus flotas de F-35, que varían de cero a dos por año.

El informe traza por separado un plan de compra hipotético para el F-35A. El plan de la Fuerza Aérea prevé comprar 42 por año en los años fiscales 2025 y 2026, 47 en 2027 y 2028, y luego 48 por año de manera constante hasta 2048, con los últimos 34 aviones previstos para 2049, para un total de 1.763.

No. Los israelitas contratan y colaboran con LM para que les integren lo que ellos piden. El F-35 está virando a sistemas abiertos y modulares por mandato de EEUU (es obligatorio desde 2019 para todos los sistemas de nuevo desarrollo). Algunos ejemplos de sistemas abiertos y modulares ya adoptados en el F-35 son la PCD-EU ("Panoramic Cockpit Display – Electronic Unit"), el ICP ("Integrated Core Processor"), el LYNX MOSA.ic adoptado para la TR.3, el AMS (“Aircraft Memory System”) o próximamente el UAI ("Universal Armament Interface") ya presente en otras plataformas de la USAF y USN/USMC. Respecto al armamento, el de EEUU cumplirá el estándar WOSA ("Weapon Open System Architecture"), no así el de Israel.

El Consejo de Ministros ha aprobado esta semana dos contratos para alargar la operatividad del F-18 hasta 2035, cuando su "jubilación" estaba prevista para el 2030, algo similar a lo que pasa con el caza de la Armada.

España se puede permitir ,financieramente,pagar +/- 10.000 millones por 50 F-35 entre A y B.
Que no interese o no haya voluntad política de explicar a la población para que necesitamos eso es otra cosa.
Para mi el grueso de los aviones del EAyE deben ser EFA pero no es un incompatible con tener dos o tres escuadrones de F-35A.
