Raytheon consigue un contrato de 375 millones de dólares para desarrollar mini-misiles de autodefensa (miniature self-defence missile (MSDM)), que ya comentamos en su día. Se trata de mini-misiles para defenderse de misiles enemigos:

En este vídeo se pueden ver algunas bombas planeadoras iraníes. En primer lugar, la pequeña Sadid-345 lanzada desde un UAV Shahed-129. Después es turno para los derivados del RQ-170 (a hélice y reacción), y a continuación la bomba planeadora Yasin, de la cual solo se habían visto maquetas, lanzada desde un Su-22. Normal. Este es un campo en el que los orientales nos han comido la tostada a base de bien. En un momento en que Chinos y Rusos estan trabajando ya para pasar de los mach cinco en municiones realmente operativas nosotros tenemos dificultades hasta para ser minimamente supersonicos.
