A mi me hace gracia porque si lo miras desde cierto punto de vista, lo que quieren son misiles "soviet style". Lo que los rusos llevan diseñando desde hace cuarenta años: misiles para lanzar desde donde cristo perdio el mechero. Lo cierto es que siempre estamos dando por supuestas superioridades de unos sobre otros y en este campo los americanos estan bastante atrasados. Mientras los rusos ya tienen disponible un misil de crucero de larguisimo radio de accion y coste muy asumible, y ya tiene desplegados misiles hipersonicos (con todos los peros que se le quiera poner a estos ultimos), los useños andan todavia en fases de pensamiento, planificacion y pulpo en garaje.

El SHAFRIR (en cualquiera de sus dos versiones) era conocido en la HHA por sus pilotos (declaraciones del gran as Giora Epstein) como el barril ya que cuando lo activabas simplemente se caía y a estrellarse en el suelo.

Gracias, Taiwan ha desarrollado un radar activo para sus SM-1/2 y darles más capacidad, pero si lo hace la Navy, espero que la Armada tome nota para modernizalos, aunque tambien pensaba lo mismo que harían algo con los Harpoon y pasarlos a Block II, en fín, a ver si por lo menos llegan los ESSM Block II activos.

This notice serves as a pre-solicitation notice for procurement of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) Air Intercept Missile (AIM)-120 Production Lot 37, with Options for Lots 38 and 39. This acquisition is contemplated as sole source to Raytheon Company (1151 E Hermans Road, P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337) under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements (10 USC 2304(c)(1)). Subcontracting opportunities should be addressed to Raytheon Company at the above address or phone number (520) 794-1639.

Anticipated delivery for AMRAAM Production Lot 37-39 will be from FY 2023 to FY 2028. Specific requirements for Production Lots 37 include, but are not limited to:

Production procurement consists of All-Up-Round missiles (e.g. AMRAAM Air Vehicles (AAV))--currently AIM-120C8 and AIM120D3 variants, Captive Air Training Missiles (CATMs), Special Test Vehicles (STVs) (including Instrumented Measurement Vehicles (IMVs), Integrated Test Vehicles (ITVs), AMRAAM Captive Equipment (ACE) pods), Telemetry Units/Kits, AMRAAM Air Vehicle Instrumented (AAVI), Captive Carry Reliability Vehicles (CCRV), AMRAAM sub-systems and sub-assemblies, spares (e.g. initial depot spares, field spares), warranties/warranty repair, support items, Programmable Advanced System Interface Simulator (PASIS), FMS offset administration costs, software/hardware upgrades to support production and fielded missiles, and any other required associated data.

Other requirements include test equipment, support equipment, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) purchases/solutions. Test and support equipment includes the production builds of AMRAAM specific testing stations and support equipment as well as the support of that equipment. AMRAAM DMSMS efforts include identification, resolution, and/or mitigation of obsolescence issues for lower level assemblies (Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), etc) and components of AMRAAM fielded missile variants and AMRAAM production missile variants. More specifically, AMRAAM DMSMS includes any form, fit, function, refresh effort necessary to support production block changes, life-of-type buys (LTBs) for purchases of parts/components made by the prime contractor or its suppliers at any tier, qualification of replacement parts, or any other effort necessary to combat DMSMS challenges and build/sustain the AMRAAM variants.

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Chandler, Arizona, is being awarded a noncompetitive, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, hybrid contract (cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, fixed-price incentive fee, firm-fixed-price and cost) with a maximum ceiling value of $421,600,000, including $233,900,000 for the base period; $112,000,000 for Option Period 1; and $75,700,000 for Option Period 2. This contract is for the procurement of a minimum of six additional Boost Vehicles (BVs); spare BV components; and BV sustainment to include but not limited to repair, upgrade, and maintenance of software and hardware to support the Ground Based Interceptor BVs. Fiscal 2020 and 2021 procurement funds in the amount of $31,436,515 and $150,000,000 respectfully, will be obligated at time of award of Delivery Order 1. Ya que hablamos de misiles antiaéreos, decir que los americanos retiran sus baterías THAAD y PATRIOT de Arabia Saudí. Se ha hecho a toda prisa y está poniendo muy nerviosas a las petromonarquías de la zona. Está cambiando a toda prisa el eje estratégico de interés norteamericano
