The European Wings event, organised by the French Air and Space Force (AAE), will bring together the Chiefs of Staff of European air forces, French representatives and representatives of European institutions. They will form a working group dedicated to implementing the air and space components of the EU’s Strategic Compass. Launched under the German Presidency of the Council, the Strategic Compass is to be adopted under the French Presidency at the beginning of 2022 in order to develop a future White Paper on European Defence.

All participants will be invited to watch a flight demonstration by European crews who provide air support essential to the strategic autonomy of European military missions.

This event will highlight the critical importance of the aerial component of the EU’s foreign policy.
