Túnez vende su A340 presidencial: http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/20 ... p-for.html
By Dominic Perry

As the new Tunisian government begins the difficult job of undoing the more grandiose projects of its deposed dictator, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, the former presidential aircraft, an Airbus A340-500, has been put up for sale, according to reports in the French press.

Registered as TS-KRT, it was delivered on 30 November 2009, eventually leaving for Tarbes in France at the end of 2010, before moving to Bordeaux Mérignac.

The four-engined jet saw little use, as the majority of Ben Ali's infrequent foreign journeys were taken in a state-owned Boeing BBJ.

Flightglobal's ACAS database lists the Rolls-Royce Trent 500-powered A340-500 - serial number 902 - as part of a cancelled order from Indian carrier Kingfisher before being acquired by the Tunisian state. It is undergoing VIP conversion at Sabena Technics's Bordeaux Mérignac facility.

Also reportedly for sale by the Tunisian government is a Dassault Falcon 900B, formerly owned by Ben Ali's son-in-law Sakhr El Materi, which was seized in Geneva.

All profits from the aircraft will be returned to the Tunisian exchequer.

El gobierno de Rusia se hace con 2 A321: http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/20 ... iners.html
Russia is to acquire two Airbus A319 Corporate Jetliners for its government air service, Rossiya for Rb6.7 billion ($237.6 million), the first time it has purchased large foreign aircraft for the company.

The aircraft will enter service from 2012.

Rossiya will also take delivery of two Ilyushin Il-96-300PU widebodies, for delivery from 2013, and four Mil Mi-8MTV helicopters for delivery later this year.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin last year criticised Russia's largest airline, Aeroflot, for ordering large numbers of foreign airliners in preference to Russian aircraft.

Earlier this year, Viktor Khrekov, a spokesman for the Kremlin property department, blamed domestic industry for failing to supply the aircraft necessary for local airlines.

Global 5000 alemán: http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articl ... ce-362489/

The first Bombardier Global 5000 for the German air force has been handed over to the service's Special Air Mission Wing for use as a VIP and medical evacuation transport, following a three-week trial.

In August, the Rolls-Royce BR710A2-20-powered twinjet was delivered to German Operating Aircraft Leasing, a joint venture between maintenance company Lufthansa Technik and Munich-based asset finance company KG Allgemeine Leasing.

Since then, it has undergone a documentation and testing programme by the German armed forces test and evaluation centre in Manching, near Munich.

The aircraft was handed over to the Luftwaffe's Cologne-based Special Air Mission Wing on 22 September.

Three other Global 5000s are to follow before the end of the year to replace a fleet of six ageing Challenger 601 jets.

Among the non-standard equipment, Bombardier installed a secure satellite communications system, an identification friend-or-foe unit plus a separate power supply and additional oxygen for medical evacuation sorties.

The aircraft, which has a range of about 4,850nm (9,000km), has seating for 13 passengers in VIP accommodation. Its cabin is largely furnished with Bombardier's standard trim for the type and allows access for disabled passengers, the Luftwaffe said.

Germany's current finance minister, Wolfgang Schí¤uble, uses a wheelchair as he was paralysed in an assassination attempt in 1990.

Technical support will be provided by Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services, a joint venture between the manufacturer and maintenance provider and ExecuJet at Schí¶nefeld/Berlin Brandenburg international airport, as well as Rolls-Royce.

The 10-year maintenance, repair and overhaul agreement includes spare parts supply, as well as the preparation and maintenance of aeronautical and technical documentation.
