Thanks to bother itself in warning to me of the error. However, according to I have understood, the UH-60Q difference solely of model UH-60A in the internal configuration. I do not doubt its criterion, but... On which one is based to indicate that the model of the photo is a UH-60A?
Sir,
The step fairings behind the pilot's door give it away. A small step fairing is a UH-60 (there is no roll vibration absorber in there on the A model). Most “MEDEVAC”Blackhawks are A models. The “Q”model has many differences on the outside, to include a weather radar, sometimes a FLIR, and a “bubble”window on the cabin for the crew.
An L model always has larger step fairings for the roll vibration absorber, as does the K,Q,and M models.
Trust me, I was a mechanic on Blackhawks for 9 years, and after that and since then, I have been a UH-60 Instructor Pilot teaching the Instructor Pilot Course at Fort Rucker, AL. I am also an SME (Subject Matter Expert) and have flown the newly developed UH-60M.
