The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, is awarded an $84,681,147 modification (P00019) to a previously-awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract (N00019-18-C-1012). Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri (52%); Indianapolis, Indiana (12%); Torrance, California (6%); Longueil, Quebec (5%); Columbus, Mississippi (4%); McKinney, Texas (3%); Monroe, North Carolina (2%); Bridgeport, Mississippi (2%); Goleta, California (2%); Palm Bay, Florida (2%); Irvine, California (2%); Anaheim, California (1%); Clearwater, Florida (1%); San Diego, California (1%); Irwindale, California (1%); Ajax, Ontario (1%); Eatontown, New Jersey (1%); Endicott, New York (1%); and City of Industry, California (1%). This modification exercises contract options to procure three MQ-25 aerial refueling drone's System Demonstration Test Articles. Work is expected to be complete by August 2024. Fiscal 2020 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $63,500,000 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

General Atomics has flown its MQ-9B SkyGaurdian in the USA’s national airspace as part of an experiment for NASA
The company flew a special variant of the military aircraft on 3 April over Southern California as part of the NASA Systems Integration and Operationalization demonstration programme, it says on 6 April.
General Atomics says the UAV demonstration showed how on-board sensors could be used for “inspections of hundreds of miles of rail, power line, communication and canal infrastructure, agriculture monitoring and topological surveys, as well as wildfire and flood monitoring.”

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, California, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $8,390,980 cost-plus-fixed-fee undefinitized modification (P00006) to contract FA8620-19-C-2003 for the United Kingdom (UK) MQ-9 contractor logistics support launch and recovery element (LRE). The UK-1 LRE aircrew, readiness spares package-out, and UK-2 logistics readiness support will be performed at multiple stateside and international locations and is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2021. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition and involves 100% Foreign Military Sales to the government of the United Kingdom. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $2,182,189 will be obligated at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
